Routine dental exams

This is one of the most effective ways of keeping your smile healthy and looking great. You should have a comprehensive dental exam at least twice annually, and we like to take diagnostic X-rays annually or as needed as part of your exam to assist Dr. Stack in identifying potential problem areas.

Professional cleanings

Following your exam, you will have your teeth cleaned by one of our registered dental hygienists. Most patients require professional cleanings twice annually. However, we also offer deeper cleanings for patients with periodontal disease. These cleanings may be required more frequently to maintain maximum oral health.

Fluoride treatment & toothpaste

Our Greenville SC dental office provides fluoride treatments for children and adults, which create an additional barrier against tooth decay. If you drink fluoridated water and routinely brush with fluoride toothpaste, you likely receive a sufficient amount of fluoride.

Fluoride treatment may be beneficial to you if you drink mostly bottled water, you are in orthodontic treatment, you take medications that cause dry mouth, or you have gum recession. We also offer prescription strength fluoride toothpaste for patients with these conditions.

Dental sealants

Dental sealant is a plastic coating that we paint onto the biting surfaces of your teeth. It is a fact that when combined with a good oral care routine, dental sealant applied to the molars of children and adults is helpful in creating an excellent barrier against the bacteria that cause tooth decay.

Night guards & snore guards

Other preventive treatments include appliances to combat unhealthy oral habits, such as teeth grinding and jaw clenching. If you or your loved one does this during sleep, we offer custom night guards that help protect the teeth and jaws.

We also provide snore guards designed to help properly position your jaws while you sleep to prevent snoring. The guard holds your jaw slightly forward to help keep your airway open and prevent the soft tissue at the back of your throat from vibrating and causing you to snore.
